Rendezvous Casino, Leeds

Universal Fibre Optics were contracted by Cannock Electrical & Mechanical of Staffordshire to manufacture and install nine identical custom fibre optic chandeliers for the Rendezvous Casino in Leeds to fill an otherwise vast empty space.

The chandeliers were constructed from MDF and covered with a mirror finish laminate. The fibre optic tails are fed through a top plate which is recessed in to the ceiling with two donut rings suspended from the ceiling to add body to the features.

The lower ring has 6 MR11 spot lights to provide functional lighting to the below areas. Two point two millimetre outside diameter cracked glass fibre with 150watt metal halide light sources were used for this project.

Each chandelier has one light source and around 450 fibre optic tails staggered in length. The longest fibre drop is around 4m.
