Radcliffe Camera

Universal Fibre Optics were contracted by Oxford University to provide a specialised lighting solution for one of their oldest and most prestigious college libraries, Radcliffe Camera.

The University were concerned that standard fluorescent lighting would cause long term and irreparable damage to their collection of books and manuscripts. Fibre optic lighting proved the ideal solution to safely and effectively illuminate the library, powered by hidden lightsources fitted with low noise fans.

The end fittings used on this project were specially designed by Universal Fibre Optics and are both directional and focusable.
