Information
This page shows a chart giving the rough beam coverage at a given distance from a fitting at a given focus. Hover over an intersection between a beam angle line and a distance line to see a beam diameter.
You can see the range of focus of a particular fitting by visiting its page in the products section. Fittings with domed lenses usually have adjustable focus while those with flat lenses just allow the natural cone of light from the end of the fibre to pass through (normally about 40 to 45 degrees).
If frosted lenses are specified these will diffuse the light and will not give a defined cone of light.
Please note that a number of factors such as fibre type and active diameter will influence the actual beam angle achieved with a given fitting so this chart is for rough guidance only.
